Location and Size for your Store
Your 2nd Time Sports store likely will be operated in a strip mall, freestanding building, enclosed mall or similar venue. The typical store size ranges from 2,000 to 3,500 square feet. We will advise you on just the right location, but you’ve got the flexibility to choose a location that makes sense for you. Even if you live in a smaller community, we’re confident that our premium used sports gear model will attract a significant customer base. The most successful stores will be in areas that include at least 5,000 rooftops within a 3-mile radius, and three to four high schools within a 10-mile radius.
There’s a lot to consider when choosing a store space—strip mall restrictions, parking and turn-in, turn-out access. You’ll also need one to two bathrooms, a small office space, a storage space and an area for repairs and refurbishments. We recommend you visit four to six locations, documenting the pros and cons of each. When you’re ready to commit, we will help you to negotiate your lease and design your floor space for the best flow.
